Updated: Oct 3, 2026

Luciano Lopez, executive president of Hainan Lausanne Tourism University (HLTU), and Scott Ryan, director of management and certification at EHL Group, visited HNU-ASU International College (HAIC) on Sep 9, leading a delegation of four.

The delegation members toured key venues such as the Language and Cultural Studies Center, Student Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center, and COFFEE Barista Training Center, gaining detailed insights into HAIC's experience in language teaching, innovation and entrepreneurship education, and internship training.

Following the tour, a discussion was held at the Mission Hills campus. Yue Wen, vice-president of Hainan University (HNU), introduced its recent reforms, development, and achievements in international education. He noted that HLTU has distinctive features in experiential teaching and industry-education integration between culture and tourism, complementing HNU's academic structure. He also expressed a desire for both to pragmatically advance cooperation in joint talent cultivation alongside collaborative teaching and research.

Lopez remarked on HNU's strong foundation in discipline development and talent cultivation, hoping that both can make collaborative progress through complementary resources, so as to jointly nurture compound talents with international vision for Hainan's cultural and tourism industry.

During the discussion, both sides engaged in in-depth exchanges, reaching consensus on such areas as collaborative internships and practice, cooperation in overseas study, and the construction of joint curriculum. They expressed commitment to further deepen cooperation and turn the consensus into feasible projects.

This discussion provided an opportunity for HAIC to expand international exchange and cooperation, and to explore new ways for talent cultivation and industry-education integration. HAIC will actively participate in the subsequent cooperation with HLTU and promote the sharing of quality educational resources in line with its academic characteristics and needs for talent cultivation.
