Hainan University concludes successful tiktok cross-border e-commerce camp
Hainan University recently celebrated the successful conclusion of its "Qionghuo Expanding Overseas" TikTok Cross-border E-commerce Marketing Practice Camp. The program aimed to enhance the practical skills of e-commerce students, support Hainan's free trade port development, and promote local products internationally. The closing ceremony was attended by Dean Wang Lin, Party Secretary and e-commerce professor Zhang Xianfeng, faculty representatives, and Hangzhou Humi Technology CEO Deng Yahui, alongside enterprise mentors and participating students.

The month-long camp, co-hosted with Hangzhou Humi Technology, focused on TikTok's overseas marketing strategies. Students engaged in market research, short video production, live-stream simulations, and international marketing plan design, producing nearly 600 original videos with over 100,000 views. By aligning content with international consumer preferences, students crafted actionable marketing strategies for local products like seafood, vinegar, coffee, and pepper.
Dean Wang Lin praised the camp's success in fostering industry-academic integration and emphasized the university's commitment to empowering local enterprises through practical platforms. She highlighted the importance of leveraging e-commerce expertise to propel Hainan products globally and support students in becoming versatile trade professionals.
Deng Yahui provided industry insights, highlighting student achievements and sharing practical experiences in cross-border e-commerce. Party Secretary Zhang Xianfeng encouraged students to continue honing their skills and embrace their role in promoting local brands internationally. He reaffirmed the university's dedication to providing ongoing practical opportunities for students.
A highlight of the event was the unveiling of a new cross-border e-commerce practice teaching base, marking a significant step in creating sustainable industry-academia collaboration. The base will offer students real-world industry scenarios, fostering resource sharing and mutual benefits.

This initiative underscores the university's commitment to integrating education with industry needs and supporting local economic growth. The university plans to deepen collaborations with cross-border enterprises, refine its e-commerce teaching framework, and cultivate high-quality talent for Hainan's free trade port.
