Rotary Club of Hong Kong Northwest visits Hainan University to enhance educational exchange
On April 25, 2026, a delegation of 50 members from the Rotary Club of Hong Kong Northwest, led by Club President Li Baokang, Mission Hills Group Chairman Zhu Dingjian, and Nan Huaijin International Cultural Center President Peng Jiaheng, visited Hainan University's Guanlan Lake Campus. The visit aimed to deepen educational and public welfare exchanges between Hong Kong and Hainan, supporting the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port.

The delegation was warmly welcomed by Yang Zhixin, a member of the Party Committee and director of the Organization Department at Hainan University, along with other university officials including Zhang Zhao, vice dean of the International Education College, and Lin Wang, dean of the Hainan University-Arizona State University Joint International Tourism College. Yang Zhixin introduced the university's international educational collaborations, particularly the partnership with Arizona State University, which has created a distinctive model for cultivating global talent. This collaboration aligns with the Rotary Club's focus on cultural tourism and public welfare, providing a strong foundation for future exchanges.
During the visit, the delegation toured the campus’s teaching facilities, practical training bases, and student accommodations, gaining insights into the operational and educational aspects of the joint programs. Tang Shiying from the campus management committee outlined the campus's development vision, while Dean Lin Wang elaborated on the cooperative education model and its achievements in producing versatile graduates. Deng Ruiwen from Jin Zhao Academy discussed the academy's educational approach, which was well-received by the visitors.
At the conclusion of the visit, President Li Baokang presented Hainan University with the Rotary Club's flag and a map of Hong Kong, symbolizing the hope for continued collaboration between Hong Kong and Hainan.

This visit marks a significant step in enhancing educational and public welfare exchanges, strengthening the role of international cooperation in education, and contributing to the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
