On April 15, the higher education evaluation agency ShanghaiRanking released the "2026 ShanghaiRanking's Best Chinese Universities Ranking." Hainan University showcased impressive progress, climbing from 93rd to 87th place nationwide compared to last year.

Since 2018, Hainan University has consistently risen in these rankings, marking an eight-year streak of steady advancement. Over this period, the university has impressively climbed a total of 128 places, reflecting significant annual improvements.

ShanghaiRanking's Best Chinese Universities Ranking are renowned for their professional, objective, and transparent approach, establishing themselves as a leading brand with significant social influence and authoritative reference value. The evaluation covers ten dimensions, including talent development, scientific research, social service, and international exchange. It further breaks down into 35 evaluation dimensions and incorporates over a hundred specific indicators, serving as a crucial benchmark for assessing the comprehensive educational level of universities.
