HAITCer wins top prize in Hainan finals of the ‘FLTRP·ETIC Cup’ National Foreign Language Contest for College Students
The Hainan finals of the "FLTRP·ETIC Cup" "Understanding Contemporary China" National Foreign Language Contest for College Students, hosted by the Education Department of Hainan Province, took place at Qiongtai Normal University in Hainan’s Haikou city, from Nov 3 to 4.

Zhao Yintian, a student majoring in Tourism Development and Management at the HNU-ASU Joint International Tourism College, Hainan University (HAITC), won the top prize in the Hainan provincial finals and advanced to the national competition.
Zhao demonstrated exceptional English speaking skills under the guidance of Zhang Cheng, a faculty member at the college.
With the theme "Understanding Contemporary China, Communicating with the World", the “FLTRP·ETIC Cup” contest encourages the understanding of China's development path, governance and principles, fostering a sense of patriotism and a global perspective.
The event aims to expand the knowledge reserve of participants and enable them to showcase their foreign language proficiency, cross-cultural competence, critical thinking and innovative abilities.
