HAITC wraps up Haiyue Innovation Forum & Summer Camp

The Haiyue Innovation Forum and Summer Camp successfully concluded, bringing together participants at the Mission Hills Campus of Hainan University from Aug 25 to 26.

The events kicked off with an introduction given by Wang Lin, dean of the Hainan University-Arizona State University Joint International Tourism College (HAITC), who shared the college's achievements, vision and mission with participating students.

Deputy Dean Zhang Xianfeng followed with a detailed presentation on the HAITC's graduate programs. Faculty members also presented the objectives and course offerings of these programs, the latest research findings and academic journeys in their respective fields, as well as the progress in industry-academia-research integration.

The events also included a Q&A session, an interview session, as well as a fascinating journey to the Hainan Museum and the historic Qilou Old Street, where participants savored authentic delicacies including Zaopo vinegar hot pot and local desserts. 

“This experience deepened our understanding of the rich historical and modern cultural blend in Haikou, a city known for its tourism,” said student representatives.
