Professor Ma Yansheng visits HAITC for academic exchanges
Ma Yansheng, director of an expert guidance committee for "Youth Global Competence Talents Training Program" with the China Education Association for International Exchanges (CEAIE), visited HNU-ASU Joint International Tourism College of Hainan University (HAITC) and gave a lecture for teachers and students on April 17.

He Yingmin, Party secretary of the CPC HAITC committee, extended a warm welcome to Ma and spoke with him about the college's development and its practices in the cultivation of international talents, the utilization of overseas educational resources, the attraction of foreign talents, and the promotion of foreign exchanges and teaching as well as research activities.
Ma, also a former counselor of education with China's Consulate General in Houston and first counselor of education and culture with the Chinese Mission to the European Union, talked about his personal working experiences and educational philosophy. Ma explained methods and practices connected with the utilization and integration of foreign resources, the composition of staff with international vision, and educational governance.
Ma spoke highly of the HAITC's operating mechanisms and its characteristics of talent cultivation. He encouraged the college to make new breakthroughs in the utilization and integration of high-quality educational resources while deepening the cooperation with Chinese and foreign partners.
He gave thanks to Ma for his visit and said that the HAITC will intensify its efforts to further enhance educational qualities, make full use of the platforms and resources like "Youth Global Competence Talents Training Program" to achieve new progress in the cultivation of leading international and innovative talents.

In his lecture titled "Global Governance and Global Competence Talents Training", Ma shared his understanding of global governance and his proposals for China to better participate in global governance, grasp development opportunities and cope with challenges and for the HAITC to foster more talents with global competence.
Ma also advised students to study hard, take actions to improve their comprehensive qualities, and get involved in global governance.
