Dean of HAITC attends a parallel forum at the 23rd CACIE

Wang Lin, dean of HNU-ASU Joint International Tourism College (HAITC) at Hainan University, addressed the Forum on International Student Mobility in a Fast-Changing World: the Recovery, Emerging Trends and Innovation in Beijing on Feb 16.

She talked about HAITC's practices and experiences related to international education. She said that the college has closely adhered to international and innovative development approaches, attached great importance to cross-discipline and student-oriented educational philosophy, adopted international curriculum design, underscored procedure assessment at classroom and off-campus social training, set up linguistic training systems under the guidance of academic development, and strengthened capacity building of students in scientific research and thinking.

Wang stressed that the HAITC is committed to transforming its students into industry leaders who are familiar with international norms and have acquired sufficient knowledge as well as skills to deal with cross-cultural exchanges.

Finally, Wang called on all HAITC students to shatter the glass ceiling and embrace the world with full confidence.

The forum was held on the sidelines of the 23rd China Annual Conference & Expo for International Education (CACIE). The 23rd CACIE was organized by the China Education Association for International Exchange under the theme of Reshaping Education: Adaptation and Transformation to follow the mobility of international students and measures taken by universities worldwide to respond to new challenges.

Twelve speakers from home and abroad delivered their speeches at the 23rd CACIE, which brought together nearly 200 participants from universities around the world.
