Dr. Junyu Lu and Dr. Xiao Xiao from the Hainan University-Arizona State University Joint International Tourism College and four of their undergraduate students, Zixuan Xu, Chenqi Wang, Meixuan Zhang, and Yang Zhou, published an article titled“The potential of virtual tourism in the recovery of the tourism industry during the COVID-19 pandemic”in the international journal“Current Issues in Tourism”(Impact factor: 7.578) in August 2021. Recently, this peer-reviewed journal article was rated as a“Highly Cited Paper”(Top 1% in the field of tourism) by Web of Science.
