Graduated from: The University of Waikato (PhD), Brest Business School (master’s degree), the Waterford Institute of Technology (master’s degree) and University College Dublin (bachelor’s degree)

Ramanayake has focused on tourism and hotel research. He has been applying critical, creative, visual and participatory methods to his studies to promote the development of teaching and research that influence society.
