Hainan University conducts mid-term education quality assessment at HAITC

The HNU-ASU Joint International Tourism College (HAITC) receives a mid-term education quality assessment from Hainan University on November 16.

A delegation of experts from Hainan University conducted a mid-term appraisal of the education quality at HNU-ASU Joint International Tourism College (HAITC) on November 16.

The assessment was organized to strengthen the ethical building of teaching and study activities, guarantee the teaching quality, and monitor the development of teaching activities.

He Yingmin, secretary of the CPC HAITC Committee, Wang Lin, president of the HAITC, Li Ping, vice-president of the HAITC, and Ju Xiaoqian attended the meeting alongside the mid-term education quality assessment team.

Li gave a comprehensive introduction to the HAITC's educational features and the development of its disciplines, and presented a report on the preparations made by the HAITC for the mid-term education quality assessment.

The appraisal team conducted investigations on the HAITC's test paper management, teaching plans and syllabus, the accessibility of internships among students, teaching quality supervision and graduate theses among other topics.

The inspection team spoke highly of the HAITC's experience and practices in promoting the integration of theoretical and practical teaching, abiding by the principle of academic integrity, and implementing regulatory supervision mechanisms in the midst of its regular teaching activities.

The HAITC fully acknowledged the importance of the mid-term education quality assessment to improve its teaching activities, and stressed that it would continue to adhere to a student-centered educational concept, strictly follow the feedback of the appraisal team, rectify problems found in the process, adopt concrete efforts to further improve the quality of its talent cultivation, and endeavor to make new achievements in the integration of Chinese and foreign educational concepts, as well as the in its internationalization-oriented operation.
