Cheng has over 10 years of experience teaching English to speakers of other languages. She has taught English to children in underdeveloped villages, NGO workers, practitioners of international law, as well as students across different countries, age groups, and levels. 

Under the guidance of educational assessment expert Dr. Jane Jones, Cheng pursued her Master's Degree in MFL (Modern Foreign Language Education) at King's College London, receiving the International Postgraduate Student Scholarship in 2013.

Before joining HAITC, she worked as an English teacher in Moscow, Russia for three years, where she taught English in CLT-based classrooms and held teacher-training seminars.
