HAITC teacher undertakes social responsibility
Since the outbreak of a new wave of COVID-19 in Hainan province, Sanya, Hainan's southernmost city, has been confronting a severe situation, standing in need of assistance.
At the critical moment in the fight against the pandemic, young teachers of Hainan University volunteered to stand on the front line of the fight.
On hearing of young people's initiative to aid the anti-epidemic fight in Sanya, Zhang Lin, a member of the Communist Party of China and associate professor at HAITC, responded to the call immediately and became one of the first 15 volunteers from Hainan University.

On receiving her PhD from Utrecht University in Netherlands, Zhang has devoted herself to teaching and fulfilling Party members' responsibilities, contributing her strength to the development of society.
During Zhang's voluntary service in Sanya, she got involved in a series of relief efforts including ensuring the “food basket” project, delivering daily necessities to local people and assisting in the mass nucleic acid tests.
To improve her volunteer work, Zhang also attended the online training courses on pandemic prevention and control to be more familiar with relevant knowledge and gain methods to deal with all kinds of emergencies.
Under the COVID-19 pandemic, Zhang's altruistic deeds demonstrated the dedication of a Party member and a young teacher as well as the power of women.
