The HNU-ASU Joint International Tourism College of Hainan University (HAITC) will hold competitions after the announcement of the national competition agenda (please visit https://uchallenge.unipus.cn/c/2022-03-20/510037.shtml for more information). The competition involves a three-minute English speech on “China's Wisdom for the World” and answering two questions raised by the judges. The contestants are required to follow the dress code and speak without referring to notes.
The specific time, place, registration and detailed rules of the college competition will also be announced after the national competition regulations have been issued.
To improve the participation of HAITCers, the college had interviewed Mason Stoddard from the Foreign Language Education Center and Kathy Yang, director of the public service and public policy major, who supervised two prize winners, to advance to national and provincial competitions on behalf of the college in 2021. Ouyang Zhiwei and Qian Siyu, winners of the contest, were also invited to share their experiences and knowledge. Let's have a look.
