Lecture on urban planning held at HAITC
A lecture on human geography and urban-rural planning was held at the HNU-ASU Joint International Tourism College of Hainan University (HAITC) on Oct 26.
Dr. Gong Yue, an assistant professor of Peking University, and a master’s graduate of the University of Washington and South China University of Technology, delivers a speech on urban planning at HAITC on Oct 26.
Dr. Gong Yue, an assistant professor of Peking University, and a master’s graduate of the University of Washington and South China University of Technology, delivered a speech on urban planning against the background of urban renewal, citing examples of the two cities of Guangzhou and Dongguan.

Gong analyzed and explained the two cities’ achievements in urban planning, introduced professional concepts such as “super block” to the students, and helped them understand the differences between China and foreign countries in urban layout and cultural background.
Through the course, HAITC students got a deeper understanding of human geography and urban-rural planning, and were inspired to make further efforts in their studies and internships.
