Lecture on tourism planning held at HAITC

A lecture on “Municipal and Industrial Wastewater Treatment Technologies and Their Applications in the Carbon Neutral Era” was delivered at the HNU-ASU Joint International Tourism College of Hainan University (HAITC) on Nov 15.

Lecturer Tang Yao talked about the concept and treatment of wastewater, greenhouse gas emissions and carbon neutralization. 

Through taking the course, HAITC students had a further understanding of this discipline, got broader ideas about environmental protection and learned practical knowledge for their future internships at wastewater treatment plants.

Tang is currently a senior research and development engineer and manager of the R & D Center at Ebo Environmental Protection Company in Guangzhou. He got his master’s degree in environmental engineering at the University of Alberta.Tang worked as project director at the Edmonton Waste Management Centre of Excellence in Alberta province of Canada. He is also a professional engineer at the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering, a member of the Association of Chinese Canadian Environmental and Municipal Professionals, a member of the expert base at the Nanchang Water Group and Fujian Shishi Water Group.
