A delegation of the administration of the Hainan Free Trade Port’s Lingshui Li’an International Education Innovation Pilot Zone visited the HNU-ASU Joint International Tourism College of Hainan University (HAITC) on Nov 4 to investigate international cooperative education projects.

The delegation visited the school’s academic support center, career development center, student organization office and coffee training room, as well as a Party member’s home, where they learned about its infrastructure and teaching achievements, and attended an education conference.

Wan Lin, dean of the college, expounded on HAITC’s teaching and management philosophy, explained the college’s vision and mission and talked about teaching resources, as well as the operation of the school’s international teachers and management team.

HAITC’s international educational atmosphere and diversified teaching achievements demonstrate its inclusiveness and openness and conform to Hainan’s strategy of attracting high-quality overseas education resources to launch Sino-foreign cooperative educational institutions, Wang said. 

Wang Yuanlu, deputy secretary of the CPC HAITC committee, shared the college’s student-oriented philosophy and voiced its commitment to step forward with the Hainan Free Trade Port and grow up with students. He noted the significance of people-oriented teaching and moral education.

Heads of departments and institutions also explained their working mechanisms, which showcased HAITC’s spirit of internationalism, diversification and respect.

Wu Yaoting, deputy director of the administration of the Hainan Free Trade Port’s Lingshui Li’an International Education Innovation Pilot Zone, affirmed the teaching philosophy and education achievements of the college and spoke highly of the role HAITC has played in Sino-foreign cooperative education, the construction of Hainan’s innovation pilot zone and China’s innovative education.

Wu said the administration is willing to work with HAITC and make contributions to building Hainan into an international center for education innovation.
