HAITC cooperates with College of Marxism on Party construction

To support Hainan University (HNU)'s construction of world-class disciplines, the Party committee of the HNU-ASU Joint International Tourism College, Hainan University (HAITC) held a symposium as well as a signing ceremony on cooperative Party construction with HNU's College of Marxism on January 19.

Chen Qing, deputy head of HNU's Organization Department and Party secretary and deputy secretary of the College of Marxism attended the meeting with HAITC's Party Secretary He Yingmin, Deputy Dean Li Meizhen, and deputy director-level Counselor Fu Tao.

Secretary He extended a warm welcome to the guests, and expressed his belief that this cooperation will help the two sides strengthen their close ties, explore effective models of talent training, and promote the world-class discipline of cultural tourism.

Secretary He gave a detailed introduction to HAITC's Party construction work. Under the guidance of HNU's Party committee, HAITC has continuously strengthened ideological and political construction and actively explored new models of Party construction in the Sino-foreign cooperative education system.

Duan Jiepin, Party secretary of the College of Marxism, pointed out that the two colleges each have their own unique advantages, and the College of Marxism attaches great importance to this cooperation and co-construction work.

Secretary Duan said that with the strong support of the HNU's Party committee, the College of Marxism has made historic breakthroughs in faculty and discipline construction, education, and academic research.

Participants communicated and exchanged opinions on theoretical publicity, faculty team building, English language training, high-end forums, and psychological education.

Chen fully affirmed the Party construction work of the two colleges. He pointed out that the work of each college has a solid work foundation, distinctive features, and special missions. He believed that the two Party committees will give full play to their respective advantages, and create new development in a win-win situation.

After the meeting, the two Party committees signed a cooperation agreement witnessed by Chen and HAITC's Dean Wang Lin.
