Higher education construction mission visits HAITC

The mission of Annual Meeting on the MOE-Province Joint Higher Education Initiative in China visited the HNU-ASU Joint International Tourism College, Hainan University (HAITC) on December 25, 2020.

Wu Yaoting, Party secretary of Hainan University (HNU), Wang Chongmin, member of the standing committee of the HNU Party committee and vice president of the university, and Wang Lin, dean of HAITC, accompanied the mission and briefed them on HAITC and its resources. 

He Yingmin, Party secretary of HAITC, HAITC Vice-Dean Li Meizhen, and Fu Tao, deputy director-level counselor of the college, attended the activity with faculty representatives.

The mission listened to Vice President Wang's detailed explanation of the highlights and achievements of HNU, including HNU's discipline cluster construction of culture and tourism, Hainan Free Trade Port development and system innovation, and the college's history and jurisprudence research into the South China Sea, as well as its discipline construction of Marxism theory.

Dean Wang gave a detailed introduction to the teaching characteristics, faculty construction, discipline characteristics and teaching results of HAITC, and accompanied the mission on their visit to the college's environment and hardware facilities.

The mission expressed appreciation for HNU and HAITC for their contribution in constructing the Hainan Free Trade Port and enhancing its capabilities and for their following the guidance of the MOE-Province Joint Higher Education Initiative. They also expected more achievements of the university and the college.
