Fu Tao, the deputy director-level counselor, reported on the counselor team's construction, enrolment numbers, student management measures and introduced the college's primary practices and existing problems.

Vice President Liang Mou listened carefully to the work report, fully affirmed the college's efforts and put forward three requirements.

Firstly, the college must conscientiously summarize the experience and advantages of running a school, refine the characteristics of ideological and political works and strive to set a new benchmark for Sino-foreign cooperation while running schools, according to Liang.

The second requirement is to further enhance the college's work on student management, create several specific student activities, accumulate work experience, and give full play to the instructors' leading role. The college should also establish a benchmark for its Model United Nations activities and continually improve its student activities.

Liang added that the third task is to create a new education model for student work. As a highly open and deeply integrated Chinese-foreign cooperative education institution, HAITC should strengthen exchanges with its brother colleges and jointly formulate training programs with international characteristics.

The college should – by virtue of its educational concept, teaching resources and the characteristics of its teachers and students – establish a new education model and strive to build a growth platform for students, Liang said.

The meeting was attended by Fan Qibiao, deputy head of the Student Work Department of HNU, teacher Xing Jingyi of the Student Affairs Office and teacher Yan Zhi of the College of Foreign Languages of HNU, as well as Fu Tao, deputy director-level counselor of HAITC, Chen Kunfeng, director of the Student Affairs Office and counselors Xiong Yiying, Deng Ruiwen, Lu Yuxiang and Xie Huiqiang of HAITC.
