Teaching and research directions: tourism geography and tourism planning.
Meng graduated from Sun Yat-sen University, majoring in human geography. He received his doctorate and is a lecturer – as well as a visiting scholar – at the University of Waterloo, Canada. In recent years, he has presided over one project supported by the national scientific research fund and two projects supported by provincial scientific research funds.
He has successively published several papers in core journals such as Geographical Research, Tourism Tribune and Tropical Geography. His main research directions are tourism planning and rural tourism. The main courses he teaches are tourism geography and tourism planning and development, among others.
