Teaching and research directions: tourism geography, geopark protection and construction and urban ecological environment and landscape planning. 

Dr. Zhixin Pan obtained his doctorate in physical geography and graduated from the School of Geography and Planning, Sun Yat-sen University. He is a lecturer at the HNU-ASU Joint International Tourism College.

From October 2013 to September 2015, he was sent to study abroad at the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences of Saint Louis University by the China Scholarship Council for a joint PhD program. 

He has successfully published seven papers in journals such as Acta Geoscientica Sinica, Scientia Geographica Sinica, and Acta Geographica Sinica. He has also presided over one project supported by the Natural Science Foundation of Hainan Province. 

The main courses he teaches are introduction to physical geography, introduction to tourism, modern service industry management and urban sociology.
