The HNU-ASU Joint International Tourism College, Hainan University (HAITC) is a non-profit Sino-foreign cooperative institution approved by the Ministry of Education of China in 2017. It is an institution that doesn't possess independent legal personality. For details, please visit the college's official website: http://haitc.hainanu.edu.cn.

According to the 2020 Admissions Guide of the HAITC and the actual needs of some freshmen, HAITC is now approved to reserve a number of places for freshmen admitted to Hainan University in 2020. Freshmen from each college can apply for relevant majors in the HAITC. The specifics are as follows:

I. Majors

1. Hotel Management (Tourism Development and Management);

2. Human Geography and Urban-Rural Planning (Parks and Recreation Management );

3. Public Administration (Public Service and Public Policy).

II. Requirements

(1) Freshmen admitted by Hainan University in 2020 (including students from Haidian campus, Chengxi campus, and Danzhou campus).

(2) Has good political quality and good physical and mental health.

(3) The scores of the applicant shall reach the control line of the first tier universities in his/her province during the college entrance examination in 2020. Applicants from the provinces that combine first and second tier universities must reach the province's special type of enrollment control line.

(4) The English scores at the college entrance examination exceeds 70% (inclusive) of the average English score of the applicant's province.

(5) Applicants who have outstanding expertise and strong willingness must pass the interview assessment organized by the college.

(6) The student him or herself has supportive family financial conditions, and is able to pay relevant study expenses.

III. Admission procedure

(1) Individual application: After obtaining the agreements of the parents, the freshmen should fill in the "Application Form for Studying at the HAITC" (Attachment 1) and the "Commitment for Studying at the HAITC" (Attachment 2).

(2) Qualification review: HAITC and its academic affairs office have the review qualifications.

(3) Interview: The college organizes interviews, mainly including comprehensive quality and English proficiency.

(4) College approval.

IV. Tuition

60,000 yuan per academic year (admitted students should pay the difference in tuition in accordance with the fee standard of HAITC within the specified time).

V. Student status management

(1) In the first academic year, the original major (large category) when enrolled in school will be retained. In the second academic year, the college will go through the relevant procedures for the transfer of majors.

(2) After entering the HAITC, students are not allowed to transfer to other majors outside the college.

VI. Registration method

Students should firstly register via email within the specified time, and then submit relevant signed paper materials as required.
